Recent NEWS

The church plant in Split is doing so much better than before; there is a core group of eight who are faithful, and we have had a high day of 16! Praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness!

The first Sunday of June we baptized four souls and are still rejoicing about it. Duje, the young man I mentioned in our last letter, was one of the four that were baptized. This was a big step for him, and he
is daily drawing closer to the Lord. Duje and I meet once a week for discipleship and fellowship, and I’m amazed by the growth he is displaying for the Lord. He has been translating for me every Sunday and is doing a tremendous job. He wants to serve the
Lord and is seeking God fervently. I really appreciate his attitude; he wants to learn and is sincerely seeking the truths of the Bible.
Bro. Josip and his wife Mirela were also baptized. Bro. Josip is the one who brought Duje to the Lord and invited him to church. Both he and Mirela have become faithful to church and want to serve the Lord. Just last week Duje had to be out of town on a
Sunday and this left me with a problem because I didn’t have a translator; we have people in the service who don’t understand Croatian, so a translator is necessary. When Bro. Josip heard about this need, he immediately volunteered to translate and did an
outstanding job! The fourth candidate for baptism was Anđa, she is the mother of Bro. Marko from Germany, who I baptized years ago in Varaždin. Marko had led his mother Anđa, who is in her 70’s, to the Lord and she told me that she also wanted to be
baptized with the others. Anđa was Catholic her whole life but did not let that stop her. Praise God I’m still rejoicing about it all!
